His right leg had been bouncing non-stop for the past thirty minutes, though it did nothing for the anxious nausea that had slowly been curling in his stomach and building in the back of his throat. Kakashi swallows hard and checks the time on his phone again— just like he had not two minutes ago.

Summary
It had taken him a bit to navigate his kitchen to find a glass, but he was otherwise quick, finding Kakashi giving him a look of surprise when he came back in. Had he thought he just up and left after he got him in bed? What kind of person did he think Obito was?
He may get agitated with Kakashi a good portion of the time, arrogant and annoying as he can be, but he was still his teammate! They were supposed to take care of eachother.
So Obito was going to take care of him.

A drop of sweat slides from his hairline to his cheek, and he sticks out his tongue to catch it. It tastes salty and musky—he hasn’t showered in a while. The house is almost eerie in its stillness, with Obito at the center of it. He breathes in slowly, the sour scent of rotting food rising from the unwashed dishes in the sink. How many days had they been there? Obito has forgotten. He wonders what would happen if he stopped breathing. Would he rot on the couch, like the food in the sink?
Instead of being saved by Madara, Obito is saved by Konoha.
