The cameras really are excellent quality. Letting her see the way his stomach muscles jump when his fingers cross them, the way his thighs tense.

Takes place roughly between S2 and S3 of The Mandalorian and diverges about midway through BOBF E5…The canon divergence is strong with this one. Started out as some Din/F!OC self-insert nonsense, but then the OC developed more in my head and became a fully fleshed-out character. So here we are.

Summary
Astarion fast-talks an abnormal number of enemies into killing themselves in the shadow-cursed lands and the team makes idle (then less idle) conversation about it. It’s completely fine and doesn’t bother him at all and it absolutely doesn’t draw additional questions about why he does what he does for the team... and what they in turn would do for him.
IE: Origin-run Astarion fic because its interesting to me how the party reacts to their vampire buddy if he doesn’t have Tav to be a social buffer for him. Act 2 content and spoilers.

He begins to pace now. "I had to know if it was possible. Not to kill you—at least, not yet. But to erase you. Quietly. Cleanly. No chaos, no martyrdom. Just... gone. Superman disappears, and the world doesn’t even flinch. It just keeps turning."
He stops again—farther away now, watching Clark from an angle. “I thought it would satisfy me.”
Clark meets his gaze, steady. “Has it?”
Lex tilts his head. Eyes narrowing, thoughtful.
“Not yet.”
Lex traps Clark in an isolated chamber, hidden within a pocket dimension where no one else can reach him—and the only person he ever sees is the man who put him there.

The shivering figure in the cell corner had stopped screaming now that Natasha had stopped speaking to him, and instead was just shuffling himself helplessly into his corner. Shudders raced randomly over his body like electric shocks, making his half-twisted spine twitch under his skin.
“What did he say?” Tony asked.
Natasha closed her eyes. “Numbers. He was repeating numbers.”
“What numbers?”
“Three two five five seven zero three eight.”
“Which means?”
She opened her eyes, the green flashing.
“What numbers would any prisoner be chanting? It’s a serial number, dumbass.”
Tony already had Jarvis running the numbers through a military database, and before she had finished speaking, Jarvis had fed a name to him.
Tony slipped his helmet down to stare blankly at Nat.
“...It can’t really be him,” he said, as if hoping she’d agree and have a different, reasonable explanation. “He shouldn’t have survived that long.”
“I know.”
“He CAN’T have survived that long.”
“Steve did,” she said softly.
