"It’s around the end of his first week in Dubai, when the house is decorated in yellows and blues, when he tries to reach out to Daniel. He calls his personal phone, reaches out to his apartment building in New York, emails his publicist, tunes in to a familiar, jumbled mind. His publicist says she hasn’t heard from him since he left for Dubai. Louis can't find Daniel’s voice among the many. In desperation, he reaches his mind out for Armand. 'Where is the boy, Arun?' Predictably, however, he receives radio silence from his ex-companion, as well."
When Louis returns to Dubai, Daniel Molloy has disappeared into thin air. With Lestat and an apparently totally alive Marius at his back, he sets about tracking down Armand for answers.
Meanwhile, this time Armand is the one caught in the Saw trap, orchestrated by a centuries-old nightmare.

“Please,” Armand is sobbing, “please, I’ll do anything, I’ll do— Master, Maestro! Please, I’ll do anything you want, forever—”
“Babe, no.”
“Quiet, Amadeo,” Marius says, and that gives Daniel one hell of a second wind.
“His name,” he says, because those will probably be his last words, and this seems like a worthy choice, “is not Amadeo. You asshole.”
And he spits on Marius, for good measure. Except he’s really banged up and weak, and it doesn’t even reach the guy’s shiny fucking shoes. Frankly, most of it lands on Daniel’s own lap. Oh well. He tried. Hopefully, when Armand tells the story — and he will live to tell it — he’ll make it more badass. He’s good at that: manipulating the narrative. He’ll tell Daniel’s story well.
Or: the working title of this fic was "Armand snuffs Marius hell yeah" -- bon apple tea, lads.
