Rachel is furious at him, after learning the truth about his non-existent law degree and their file room hookup."Quit," she told him.
And Mike, realising he has nothing left at the firm, or even in New York, decides that maybe disappearing from the city is the only way to atone for what he's done. But once Harvey realises that Mike is gone? It hits him harder than expected.

Summary
Mike wasn’t sure what kind of God he had pissed off, but he knew the bastard had a wicked sense of humor.
It started with one drink. Just one. Harvey had been in a rare good mood after winning a case that shouldn’t have been winnable, and Mike had been riding shotgun on the victory. The bar was expensive, the whiskey smoother than anything Mike could afford, and Harvey was smiling. Not the smirk, not the tight, professional curve of his mouth, but a real smile. Relaxed. Genuine. It should have been a red flag.
"So, you ever box?" Harvey asked, swirling the amber liquid in his glass.

Summary
"I’m not looking for something serious," Harvey said, voice low.
"Good," Mike said, folding his arms in mirror to Harvey’s. "Neither am I."
Harvey raised an eyebrow. "Really?"
"Yeah. I mean, we just need to get it out of our systems, right?" Mike’s mouth quirked, but it didn’t reach his eyes. "One day. Just one. We see what this is, realize it’s not as big a deal as it feels, and move on."
Harvey’s chest ached. He didn’t let it show. "A one-day dating experiment."

Summary
Harvey wakes up alone.
For a few blissful seconds, he’s just warm and comfortable, his mind still foggy with sleep. But then reality sinks in, and he reaches out—only to find cool, empty sheets beside him.
His stomach drops.
Mike is gone.
And just like that, Harvey's brain goes into damage control.
Fuck.
He blinks at the empty space next to him, his mind scrambling, still heavy with sleep but already racing toward the worst possible explanations.
Mike left.
Mike regretted it.
Or... or worse—Mike regretted that it was with him.
The thought is enough to send a sharp, awful feeling through his chest, and he sits up too fast.
His fingers dig into the sheets as he tries to pull himself together. He doesn’t panic—Harvey Specter doesn’t panic—but his throat feels tight, and something ugly and unfamiliar is clawing at the back of his mind.
