Summary
Steve Harrington has a plan. It goes a little something like this:
Step 1: Acquire one of Eddie’s shirts.
Step 2:Sew the shirt ontoFind someone who can sew.
Step 3: Make them sew the shirt onto the back of a jacket.
Step 4: Find a bunch of cool pins and patches to add to the jacket.
Step 5: Give the jacket to Eddie on the day of his graduation.Eddie is finally graduating, which means that Steve has to give him a gift. He realises some things along the way.

The camera flicks to Steve, and he blinks back at her, "Yes. I am aware."
"Where is this muse?" The camera flickers between Oprah and Steve as they laugh at the question.
"My muse is chilling in the skies, watching me play. He's probably berating me for stealing his sweetheart."
Or: After Eddie's death, Steve returns to the Upside Down to retrieve his guitar. He learns how to play it and ends up becoming a famous singer, famous for his heartbreaking songs about longing and yearning for someone. For a while, that's it. It's not until sixteen years later, that some secrets are uncovered.

Summary
“You are such a fucking asshole.” Steve says, but again there’s no venom behind his words. It comes out like an observational statement, like they’re back in Freshman year biology marking down the anatomy of the frog they dissected. Looks like spaghetti, Steve had said while they stared down at the guts in front of them, and even now Tommy can’t eat spaghetti without thinking of it. “You know, believe it or not, Eddie doesn’t treat people the way you do. He wouldn’t even think to.”
Tommy scoffs, does an eye roll of his own. “Yeah, I’m sure he’s real sweet to people before he gouges their eyes out."

Summary
The only reason Steve volunteers to keep a journal to track Eddie Munson’s skim-milk memories, is because of the twerps.
They have school, they can’t commute to the government-protected hospital that’s all the way in the city. That, and they gave Steve this well-rehearsed, tearjerker performance about how grateful they would be.
About how grateful Eddie would be.
Pfft like shit on a stick, he’ll be grateful. The dude doesn’t even remember how old he is, how the hell is supposed to be grateful for Steve Harrington jotting down notes in binder?
But those kids have been through Spielberg-level disaster shit. Steve has too, but they’re just kids.
So he’ll do it. He’ll do it for them and only them.
