Summary
Jax is a wandering thief, and burglar. He's burnt bridges, severed ties and betrayed more people than hair on his head. Notorious by name and his deceptively sweet appearance, the only place left to run was the mountains. Where he finds himself caught in a snare laid by the superstitious people of an isolated village, where certain fates are un-avoided and endings inevitable.
TLDR: High fantasy AU; Jax is sacrificed to the patron goddess of a small mountain village and becomes her pet.

Summary
All adventures come with a goal to beat in order for them to get back to the circus. However, Caine has some interesting conditions for this adventure to end. Completely beat a zombie infested world by killing them all or curing them all. With terms like these, its a wonder Pomni or any of them don't just immediately abstract at the mere thought of it. But hey, at least she got a big-@$$ crossbow for this $#!&;-fest.

They are all so happy to be out, all so filled with life. Pomni wants to bottle those moments up and stuff them deep into her heart, her mind; weave them into her very soul, so that no matter what occurs in the future, she will never forget them. Pomni promises to herself that no digital world or any other world will ever snatch those memories away.

With everyone so happy, it was almost too easy to settle into this feeling that life was perfect, that it would all work out in the end.
That it had all worked out in the end.
Almost like the circus never happened.
…Almost.
If only this pesky screen wasn't still in the way.

The circus cast has escaped!
All but one that is.
The way the exit door works is the one that conjures it has to close it— while still inside the circus!
Pomni, the newest and “the most mentally stable and capable” out of all them, chose to stay behind so that Kinger could go on the other side of the screen to program an exit that she can get out through.
