Robby hasn’t felt so obvious and awkward since he sprang up five inches freshman year of high school. Here he stands in the middle of the doorway, bearing several tell-tales of a life upside down. He’s wide awake at 2 AM. He’s scruffy headed, and stuck wearing sweat pants a size too big for the weight he’s lost in recovery. Just the weight of his phone in his pocket would be enough to drag them down over his bruised and battered hip bones if he didn’t knot them up mercilessly.
