With Komaeda's condition getting worse and worse, Hinata decides it's time for a vacation for both of them. He takes Komaeda sightseeing in a post-despair Kyoto where they make an important decision for their future. [Culture inspired] -

He had barely enough time to change clothes and grab his bag to stumble out of the door when a voice resounded behind him.
“Uhm…? Saihara-chan? Good morning?”
“O-Ouma-kun?!” Saihara almost fell over, trying to put on his shoes and turn around to face the shorter boy at the same time. A wretched feeling settled in his gut. Had he…?
“Hmm, seems like you’ve already forgotten that I live here too?” Ouma tapped his chin thoughtfully as if he’d just read his mind. Visibly he didn’t seem upset, but there was a distinct lack of cheerfulness around him that made Saihara gulp. A bead of sweat made its way down his neck.When Ouma and Saihara move in together, Saihara has to let go of an annoying habit that puts their relationship to a test. Ouma has his own ways of helping him with that.

“Saihara… chan?” Ouma blinked, trying to get out of sleep’s embrace. “Hmm… you’re making a face like you’re about to kiss me”
The calmness about Ouma was so different from usual that the words took time to register in Saihara’s brain. When they did, they sent a wave of shock cascading through his body, calm mood gone.
“K… kiss? No, no, no, I definitely wasn’t—“
Frustrated, Ouma lunged at Saihara, grabbing his wrists firmly. There were tears brimming in his eyes. “Ehhh?! What do you mean you weren’t?! So just because I want to kiss you means you think I’m gross huh!!!”

Too many words he shouldn’t have said and yet they had still come out of his mouth regardless, his head a muddled mess of talents that didn’t let him think straight anymore. The professional side of the Ultimate Analyst argued with the emphatic side of the Ultimate Expert in Human Nature while in the back of his mind, every other so called gift crammed inside his brain screamed their own little interpretation of the situation until everything was swallowed by a new wave of thought, black and thick like a heavy blanket that suffocated everything beneath.
This life is so boring.
