A few minutes passed with the two sitting in silence–neither leaving, but neither quite wanting to stay– until Louis suddenly turned to Harry, his blue eyes piercing into Harry’s once they met. His eyebrows were furrowed, his lips pursed. Harry knew that look well, the one he always wore when he was deep in thought, ruminating over what he wanted to say next. Harry’s nerves buzzed underneath his skin, his muscles taut as he waited for what Louis would say.
“Are you happy?” Louis finally spoke.

A small smile appeared on Louis’ face as his thumb hovered over the perfect song to play in this situation. He wanted to make sure Harry knew that he was always going to be an open ear for him, no strings attached and absolutely no judgment. And also the song was kind of annoying as fuck. Way too overplayed. But the message was clear.
Lean On Me began playing through the speaker, the volume increasing as Louis held down the side button on his phone. The smile never faded as he lit his new cigarette, bringing it to his lips.
The voices upstairs quieted down, a silence stretching and wrapping itself around the upstairs apartment just in time for the first chorus to play.
He heard the sliding door click shut just before the second verse. He just hoped Harry understood.xxx

Prompt: Omega Louis is a Rockstar who loves to barricade. All the scents mixing together and he loves it to be close to his fans. Alpha Harry is the bodyguard who is responsible for Louis' safety. Both do a lot of banter but one day the fans rip Louis shirt and some alpha in the crowd is touching him. Harry has to scent Louis backstage to calm the omega down and growls at everyone who comes near them. Louis has no other choice. Before every concert he goes to Harry to let himself be scented so the alphas in the crowd have no effect on him. Possessive Harry, a lot of scenting, cuddles and banter pls, Louis hates it at first but secretly loves it.

“Hi Harry,” he greets shyly. “Sorry, let me step aside, you can -,” Louis gestures around him, his feet accidentally kicking against the box. “I didn’t realize the delivery person would just drop it here and not at my door.”
Harry hums, but doesn’t move around him. “Is it heavy? I can help you carry it.”
Louis starts shaking his head before Harry even finishes his sentence. “No, that’s kind, but no. I can do it.” Because, well, Harry has a bit of a reputation as being the building’s curmudgeon. He’s been known to complain about loud music, and even snapping at some of the younger residents, let alone the few times that Louis has had the experience of running into him in the mailroom and when taking the trash down.
