“There’s nothing left for me here,” he whispers. His voice is barely audible above the crowd swarming around them. “You go off and do great things, Satoru. My path leads elsewhere.”
“We can figure this out—“
“There is no we,” Suguru cuts him off, a certain kind of finality etched into his tone. He shoves his hands into his pockets, turns on his heels.
And Satoru watches him go, watches him disappear into the crowd of people moving around them.
Watches him walk out of his life.
Or,
Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto are best friends, and the epitome of the life of the party, always the main characters. However, when their secrets start to catch up with them, they fall apart. They slip into the background, almost like they were never there to begin with.

Suddenly, the bright lights lining the high ceilings of the lecture hall dimmed, giving Gojo’s highly sensitive eyes a rare, much-needed break, at least until the professor walked in. Gojo's eyes traced over the professor as he walked up to the podium in front of the room. He was utterly captivated for a moment or so as he tried to ignore the unshakable presence of the man at the front of the room.
Satoru is a fourth-year senior who just wants to graduate, but he has to survive one mandatory sociology class run by Professor Suguru Geto, who refuses to put up with his attitude.
