Levi Ackerman, a gruff cleaner with an appetite for toilet humour meets the unabashedly friendly creative writing professor, Hange Zoë, who somehow ropes Levi into working on a comic with them. While the comic’s title remains undecided, Hange knows that it’s going to be set in a world where giant, human-like creatures devour other humans. Erwin Smith, the comic’s self-appointed editor, unironically thinks it’s going to be a hit. All Levi knows is that he wants to indulge in drawing this comic while hanging out with a certain writer who just won’t stop talking to him.

Summary
Vampire society had lived for centuries in solitude. The only exception is life partners. However, Levi’s solitude was shattered when he and Hange were captured by the Survey Corpse. A group is sworn to protect the peace of all inhuman species. The group manages to convince Levi to aid in their quest. Well. They did it by convincing his wife who dragged him along on her endeavor to learn more about the new world.
Now, facing a new mission to recover missing Vampires in the city already has Levi on edge. Taking a mission in the city with his entire squadron going into a heat made Levi's head spin. To add to his grumpiness, his beloved wife Hange was unintentionally taunting him with her upcoming heat. His headache reaches an all-time high when it seems all types of monsters are disappearing between their grasps.

She was deliriously drunk on her preheat as everything seemed quite lovely. A soft smile plastered on her face as she spun around their tiny flat. Humming a quiet lullaby, Hange rubs against the newly knitted scarf, giving it a quick kiss before folding it up. Hange stops twirling as she looks sadly down at the scarf. Maybe one day he could be hers, fingers grip the soft garment as she smiles softly.
