Mike stretches out his hand towards Will, palm facing upwards. An invitation. Will rises to his feet, takes a small step towards the dancefloor and the crowd between them parts like the Red Sea.
Mike pulls him closer by the hand, looking down at Will with a soft smile. "Just look at me," he whispers. "Forget everyone else. Just keep your eyes on me."
Easier said than done.
"This okay?" Mike asks when a hand sneaks around Will's ribcage.
Will just nods, eyes not leaving Mike's.
"Just follow my lead, alright? It'll be over before you know it," Mike adds, straightening up slightly before taking the first step.
Despite his promises, Mike never sent a single letter.Despite his best intentions, Will was never able to fully move on.

A tracking spell goes completely wrong in Defence Against the Dark Arts, and somehow Harry ends up in another universe, eerily similar to his own except with one stark difference: he can, for some reason, smell everyone. And strongly.
He might have been able to handle it, if his partner in the class hadn’t been affected by the spell as well, and ended up right there with him.
He probably would have been able to. Except that his partner, of course, had to be Draco bloody Malfoy.
