Cal is covered in scars of all kinds from half a lifetime of brazen fighting.
Bode has very few of his own; the largest scar he has is on the back of his left hand, running across the width of it and continuing down to curl around his wrist.
Bode hides this one beneath his pair of gloves. He hides all of the others, all of the ones he shares with Cal, underneath long sleeved shirts and carefully applied concealer.
Bode hides, until he doesn’t.

Summary
Way back when he’d first landed on Bracca and needed to join the Scrapper’s Guild, Cal had stuffed his shoes to appear taller and thus older.
He then just… never stopped faking his height, even after he’d hit a growth spurt and landed solidly in the range of just-below-average.

For years now, all Cal has known has been how to be a good attack dog for the Inquisitorius, a hunting hound as lethal as it is loyal.
He can’t quite remember how to be a person. Not yet, not fully. So, in the meantime, he’s retrained to be a good pet, just for Bode.
