After fumbling his attempt at telling Sherlock, he ends up on the most uncomfortable drive of his life as the two head to the Scottish Highlands for a case. But perhaps the change of setting is what they need to finally figure it out.Post S4 fix-it, set about two years after TFP.

Summary
Sherlock is back from the dead but he has no memory of John or their past intimate relationship. Mycroft had convinced the both of them that they should just go their separate ways, as John is now engaged to Mary, and both men had agreed initially. But despite this, both men can't help but continue to be drawn towards each other.

In his head, John knows it would be best to move on, as Mycroft said. He has Mary now, and Sherlock… John shakes his head. He’s cried enough over that idiotic man. And yet, as John glances over at Mary and at the engagement ring on the hand wrapped around her coffee cup, he feels like this is wrong. It all feels so wrong. Why is he sitting on some bench at some park when Sherlock is out there? Alive and breathing?
