Summary
When Robby starts his rotation at the ED he thinks he knows what to expect. At M.S. 4, the last rotation he needs is emergency medicine, but having done his last one in the ICU he figures he’s bringing in good experience. Some would call that cocky. Bratty, even. Robby argues that it’s not cockiness he’s packing, but intelligence. Core knowledge on the internal workings of medicine. His evaluations clearly reflect that, so if he has a bit of an ego he argues it’s well deserved.
Robby brings this attitude with him on his first day at PTMC. He’s in nice scrubs, comfy shoes he’s broken in, and has his notepad ready for any questions. He holds himself with an air of confidence because he knows he’s able to handle this.
That quickly proves to be wishful thinking.
The senior attending, Dr. Dennis Whitaker, is an interesting man to say the least.

"What bloody hints? You've been nothing but professional!"
"Professional?!" Gaz protested, a little shrill. "I've been drooling slick down my leg every time you so much as look at me, sir. Every bloody alpha on base has caught a whiff of it at this point!"
or: Gaz’s been struggling badly with his attraction to Price. Price has no bloody clue what's going on.

“Come here,” Josh gets to his feet jerkily, a puppet strung along on strings as he moves closer. "Sit still."
Josh obeys. Of course he does. He has no other choice. The collar affixed around his neck makes sure of that.
The stranger stares down at him with kind brown eyes, a gentle hand reaching forwards, brushing against Josh's fur. He straightens up to face the shopkeeper with a nod.
"I'll take him."

Tyler is lonely and impulsively decides to wander into a magical animal shop to buy a cute dog to keep him company. Josh, a shifter stuck in his dog form and cursed by a Sorcerer to obey every command given to him, isn't as fond of the idea.
Somewhere along the way, they both find exactly what they were looking for.

Summary
Soap is a PhD student, doing his research in Antarctica on the behaviors and hunting habits of leopard seals. During his expedition, he becomes obsessed with a leucistic seal, who he's taken to calling Ghost.
His attempts at tagging Ghost for tracking purposes have all failed, leaving Soap frustrated, but determined to try again. He won't stop until he gets the data he needs for his dissertation.
At the same time, Soap is stuck in an escalating, heated flirting match with a hydroponics employee at another base. It's foolish to form romantic relationships with someone he knows will vanish from his life once their expeditions are over, but there's something fascinating about this man that he can't ignore.

Hopper's going to say no, and be awkward and embarrassed about Steve's weird freaking fantasy because who wouldn't be? And Steve will leave and try not to die of shame in his car and they'll never speak about it again and he will just have to live with this fucked up secret like he lives with all the other fucked up secrets and that's that.
