The force those somethings used on him sent him tumbling forward down the stairs, and he landed harshly on his side before keeling over once more. The process repeated multiple times on the many – way too many – steps in the staircase. Eventually, however, he slammed into a door that gave in easily to the force. It swung open loosely and revealed a brand new room that Martin couldn’t quite process through the blinding pain in his, well, everything...

Or... Martin finds himself trapped in a mysterious pocket dimension within the archives, unsure of where to go. Unfortunately for him, a threatening and twisting figure would prefer to follow him around the unknown world instead of pissing off. The two both seem to know very little about the lengthy, infinite spaces they encounter, but the deceitful one might know more than they let on.

Summary
An odd tv has shown up in the archives. Any attempts to get rid of it have ended in failure, and it was eventually deemed safe enough to be properly investigated. Thanks to a note on the tv, the archives crew are the ones who will watch whatever's on it. Really though, it doesn't seem that dangerous. All it's showing is some strange blind man- and the entity talking to him.

Waterboy tries to step back, but he stumbles on the wet floor, thudding into the shipping container beside him. Robert goes still.
His head jerks up, eyes rolling wildly to make contact. Bloodshot. He's crouched on the floor of the warehouse like an animal, low and cornered. Blood is splattered over his face, and as he lifts his head, Waterboy can tell it's streaked down his chin like he must have sunk his teeth into something and held on. When he bares his teeth, they've been licked clean.
He shakily, slowly, like the movement’s might provoke an attack, fumbles for his radio. “Guys? Uh- found- I. I Robert found- no, that's not. I found- uhm.”

And then he meets Steph, with whom he eats pizza, and watches famous tv shows and movies he missed out on. And Ridhi, who's trying to set him up with her grandson. And Maurie, whose essays he proofreads. And another person, and another, and another. All of the sudden, he realizes he's not just surviving anymore - he's alive. He's really alive.
Months later, a Batarang still cuts Jason’s throat. Joker still breaths. Bruce makes the same choice he always does. Technically, nothing changes; but Jason didn't expect it to change. He just needed it to mean something - and mean something it did.
