They were like two vines growing side by side, gradually crossing each other’s paths more and more until they were so irrevocably bound together that one couldn’t imagine them ever having been separate. Maybe they didn’t bloom flowers of the same colour, or even in the same season, but they shared the same trellis, and at some point had grown into one another to such a degree that one could not be pulled away without injuring them both.
Seungmin always thought Hyeongjun's hands were beautiful, but he never noticed just how much time he spent watching them—watching Hyeongjun—until Hyeongjun himself points it out. Then Seungmin can't stop noticing.

"'Maybe, but then I would have never tried the cafe’s ginger tea. It was delicious.” Hyeongjun realizes he’s talking in a near whisper, and when he looks up, he sees Jungsu sleeping quietly overhead.
Lowering his voice just barely, Hyeongjun shakes his head. “It was too bitter for me.”
Leaning his head against his atrocious stack of pillows, Gunil stifles a grin. “What, would you prefer a vanilla cold brew?”
Hyeongjun freezes, narrowing his eyes. “You’re implying something.” Gunil’s shoulders shake with his withheld laughter, and Hyeongjun knows they’re both fools of equal caliber. “You keep doing that,” he complains.
“You’re oblivious.'"

"Did you see the new trainee?"
Soobin pauses. "What new trainees?" They had said there will be no new trainees. That the debut group will be decided from amongst the existing ones.
"A new trainee. One." Kai chews loudly and Soobin makes a face. "I saw the instructor talk to him. In the hallway."
"A new trainee? At this stage?" He wipes his glasses on a tissue. "You must have heard wrong, Kai-yah. Instructor said there will be no new trainees now."

“Look, we don't have to if you don't want to. I remember what you said the last time we saw each other. I can walk myself back home right now, just say the word,” Jisung says, worrying his lower lip between his teeth. A nervous tick, Minho notes.
He considers it for a moment – sending Jisung home – but then he would have gained nothing from all of this. But he also doesn't want to lead the guy on.
“You should know I wear hearing aids,” Minho blurts, an attempt to sabotage. This is the part where Jisung will realize Minho isn't worth it. He’ll walk away, Minho is sure of it.
"I know. Chan-hyung told me,” Jisung says, “I don't care about that– or well, I do, but– you make it sound like it’s a dealbreaker–”
“Because it is.”
“It's not.”
Jisung's words kill Minho’s argument, leaving Minho staring at him in shock, his mouth hanging open.
