    So far they have no idea who has been killing these people or why. All they know is that the same ritual is being followed each time and that neither the gender nor the age of the victim seems to matter. There is something that draws their killer to each one, but as of yet Cody has not found the link and there is nothing obvious in any of the victims’ belongings either.

     

     

    Cody's serial killer case takes a turn into a world that he has been avoiding since his family fled Concord Dawn over a decade ago, and points him back in the direction of a one night stand he has been trying to track down.

When he opened his eyes, with a younger body and in a time long past, it was apparent that the Force took a somewhat creative interpretation of his last thoughts. However, the man that was once Crazy Old Ben, Wizard of the Wastes, wasn’t going to squander this second chance. After all, he had a padawan to teach and the galaxy to save.

    I love how Obi-Wan Kenobi - now Ben - is so open about caring for his second padawan and truly making the Jedi into a family (way down the line results)

    Current series continues through the Phantom Menace, no active sign of continuation (likely originally envisioned through Revenge of the Sith)

    Doesn’t include reconciliation with Qui-Gon. Posits OWK as not the only time traveller in the history of the Jedi, and Kenobis as Force favored children.

    PS - Jango as Mandalor is only a small part of this book. It does come up later in the series again, but is even smaller screen time then.

    Obi-Wan narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?" He asked, hoping a direct question would yield answers. The old man seemed adept at side-stepping information when asked a bit more deftly. “I’ve never heard of a Master with your level of talent.”

     

     

     

     

    The old man seemed surprised. “If you’ve never heard of one like me, then what good would my name be? You wouldn’t know it.”

     

    Obi-Wan felt a flare of irritation, and quickly squashed it. The old man blinked, as if he hadn’t expected to feel that, and he smiled, sadly. “My name is Luke,” he said, as if a peace offering.

     

    The force trilled in his ear, and Obi-Wan frowned. "Luke what?" He asked, and the old man, this Luke, smiled wryly.

     

    "Luke Skywalker.”

    Fun!

    Does resolve Palpatine's death, doesn't fully find an ending.

    I like some of the sibling interactions and some of the world building force details, still lots of wonder/mystery. Also common cavalier attitude towards medical attention.
