Summary
Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander have been preparing for the Hunger Games their entire lives as citizens of Districts One and Two. In their final year of eligibility, both of their names are called at the annual Reaping ceremony. During training week, Shane realizes he wants nothing more than to bury his knife in Ilya’s throat, and Ilya can’t seem to resist trying to provoke him into doing it.
The problem is, that eventually, killing each other stops being the only thing they want—and the Capitol is determined to make a spectacle out of every second of it.

He is rushed to the ED, to the always capable physician Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch who is back from his sabbatical and working to rediscover his empathy. Shane’s injury is tenuous, and Robby needs to find a decision maker immediately, but things are never that easy at the Pitt.
