“I’m not going to ask Hayden if he can fuck me just so I can be a normal person.”
“So you want to get fucked.”
“Obviously, I do, don’t I?” Shane mutters, glancing down at his own crotch. He feels Rozanov do the same, so his face burns and his hand takes on a life of its own, punching the man in the chest. “Stop that.”
“Hey, I just want to help,” Rozanov replies. Suddenly, Shane notices how close they are and forces himself to take a step back. “It’s not that complicated. You just want to fuck, so do it. Practice. Easy.”
He has to learn from the best, right? Shane doesn't do things halfway. If he's going to lose his virginity, he's going to learn to do it with all the necessary nuances that Rozanov's promiscuous experience can offer.
"Okay," Shane exhales, and immediately blushes. "I'll do it. Are you free tomorrow at seven?"

A few seconds later, a news anchor’s voice grows to startling clarity. A clip plays of Rozanov shooting from the goal crease and making it into the net.
“...Montreal Metros to acquire center Ilya Rozanov from the Boston Raiders for the upcoming season. The two teams have sustained a bitter rivalry for years, and it has only worsened worsened with Hollander and Rozanov’s participation. All of this makes the trade an unlikely one; however, it seems to be just the right time for the Metros to snag a star like Rozanov. After many lackluster performances from the Metros these past few months, it only makes sense…”
The anchor continues as a clip of Rozanov from a post-game interview last year plays—he’s shirtless and sweaty, smirking into the camera. And then he does that…that wink. Shane just stares up at the screen, dumbfounded. He’s not listening to the details anymore, but the words echo in his head.
Metros to acquire Ilya Rozanov…
His team to acquire Rozanov.
“This is bullshit,” he mutters, turning and trying not to stomp off like an upset child.OR: Ilya gets traded to Shane's team and Shane is not happy about it

Summary
I wanted to find a way to get some high-Shane-post-concussion-hospital-magic in a story, and what better way to do that than a nice little wisdom tooth extraction.
When the opportunity presents itself, Ilya ditches the MLH awards weekend in Vegas to fly out to Ottawa so he can help Shane through his dental surgery. Shane says too much, naturally, and the boys end up sharing a whirlwind twenty-four hours that will change their futures in the most wonderful way.
Because of some chompers, tuna-meldown never needed to happen.
"Ilya regretted not checking his carry-on—while totally unnecessary, it would have bought him an extra twenty minutes of staring at a spinning carousel before he had to face his impulsive offer to comfort the man he was used to pounding his dick into. Instead, he had about a fifteen minute walk to reconcile how after seven years of the same shit, he was about to become the man who could maybe offer more than just nine inches and an orgasm. He was sure to walk slowly, knowing damn well that the slower he walked, the quicker Shane’s mind would spiral. If he walked any slower, he’d miss the surgery altogether."
