"Griffith lamented, briefly, how much money he’d spent on fine clothes for the ball as he tore Gut’s new breeches asunder. He knew Guts wouldn't complain about it, and was in fact doing anything but complaining, but Guts also hadn’t dropped a sizable amount of coin for his men to look good for the nobles of Midland. They’d all looked very fetching too, if he did say so himself. Too fetching, hence, why he’d dragged Guts away from the ball, away from the noise, and had him pressed against his bedroom door, his shirt untucked from his trousers and his jacket askew, panting as Griffith attempted to divest him of his bottom clothes. He’d considered doing this in the ballroom itself, but this would have to do.
Guts snickered to himself as his linen underclothes were torn apart the same way as his breeches. “What’s with you, Griff? You seem a little desperate.”
Griffith paused, briefly. He shot up with a growl, catching Guts by the throat. Guts didn’t flinch. He just leaned into it, daring Griffith to press down with a quirk of his lips. “Don’t. Speak.” Griffith hissed."
Guts draws the unwanted attention of a nobleman at a ball, and Griffith reminds him who he belongs to.
