"You?" In-ho asked, like he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
Gi-hun had never seen In-ho unravel at the seams so fast, his fingers rapping against the bottle of whiskey that tipped close to the edge, his gaze focused on the mahogany table before them.
Gi-hun nodded there. "Me."

Gi-hun had always been best friends with Jun-ho. The alpha treated him no different even if he was an omega, something the other kids excluded him for. It didn't matter. He was one of the highest ranking officers in Seoul years later, and Jun-ho was his own distinguished detective now. The only issue was In-ho, Jun-ho's little brother, an alpha that Gi-hun always had a...complicated relationship with.

Summary
Gi-hun told himself he never cared about being a “typical” omega, not after society had already deemed his failure as one. Unmated, washed up and living alone, he’s just doing his best to get by, having to pose as a beta in order to keep a steady job – trying not to think too much about his mounting pile of debts, his failed relationships, or the fact that his daughter is growing up too fast before he has a chance to catch up.
His carefully built routine is soon disrupted when he takes on a new client – Hwang In-ho, an uptight, arrogant alpha who seems determined to make his job as difficult as possible. Gi-hun’s determination to keep his head down and ignore him soon becomes easier said than done when he’s faced with a sudden and unexpectedly brutal heat, forcing him to rely on the alpha he hates so much. Nothing will come of it, he tells himself.
It was a one time thing, and Gi-hun was never supposed to be able to get pregnant anyway...or, that’s what he thinks.

A night out with friends, Seong Gi-hun takes his husband Hwang In-ho to hang out with them. Unfortunate for Gi-hun, In-ho has horrible jealousy issues. Married life isn’t always gentle, In-ho reminds Gi-hun exactly who he belongs to.

Summary
Gi-hun paid what he owed and now keeps his place running. He’s patching things up with his mother one visit at a time, waiting for his daughter’s calls that come more often these days. And there’s Jun-ho, younger and steadier than he has any right to be, still turning up at the end of every day like he belongs there, easy as breathing.
The problem is Jun-ho’s brother: scrubbed to nothing, blockers on, even off duty, looking a little more hollow each time. Whenever Gi-hun’s scent spikes, he looks for windows or exits, like looseness doesn’t fit the rules he lives by.
Gi-hun isn’t a fool, and he knows not every scent matches. But this is different. It feels personal, and it pisses him off every time.
Something’s very off about that man… Looks like Gi-hun’s the only one who sees it.
