Shrugging internally, you step forward and press your mouth to Dr. Reid’s.Sometimes, you take things a little too literally. It can be both a blessing and a curse.

Summary
“Now, who’s this?” Hotch asks, his face melting into something Spencer knows is born of being a father. It’s tender and warm and mirrors everything Spencer feels on the daily, but never knows how to express. Maybe it’s as simple as the look he can’t keep off his face.
Charlotte’s giggle keeps him smiling, with the added joke of, “I don’t know what you mean.”
“Well, I hate to break this to you, but I think you have a koala on your back.”
He feigns confusion: “A koala on my back—oh my goodness there’s a koala on my back!” He hoists her further up, tipping his head back to meet her eyes. “Hello miss, have you seen a koala around here?”
Charlotte fully laughs this time, her eyes squinting into the crow's feet he loves to see. “That’s me!”
Spencer Reid is twenty-five, and Charlotte Reid is six. This is how they come to be.
