He didn’t even make it out of his bed before he realized that something was missing. All of the previous changes that he had experienced usually ‘gifted’ him with something new. Never had it taken something from him. With growing horror, Gregor ripped the innocent blanket off of him like it was the one at fault.
Looking down, Gregor felt himself die a little. The metamorphosis had eaten his penis. At the realization that he still had to go to work today, with or without his penis, he died all the rest of the way."

Sunday wept harder then, nearly hysterical. When he calmed down enough to speak, he admonished Welt for his ability to effortlessly reduce him to tears, and promised that one way or another, he would find a way to consummate their relationship.
Thus commenced Sunday’s dogged pursuit of sexual enlightenment.
Welt helps Sunday overcome some of his compulsions, and proves that his body is worth loving.
