When Stiles is ten years old, a car accident robs him of his mom, his desire to speak, and the patch of skin where his soulmark will go.
He'll never know the first word his soulmate will say to him, and eventually stops caring.Derek Hale, however, cares quite a bit. It would help if his soulmark would lead him in the right direction - or at least be sort of specific. Instead, he's stuck with his own name on his arm and a bunch of wannabe soulmates taking advantage of him.
It doesn't stop them from finding each other, of course. (It is a soulmate AU after all.)
