For the first time in a long, long time, Wei Ying feels safe.
He remembers, then, the man with stars in his hair and the man with the jade hairstick. And he remembers a warm robe, wrapped around his shoulders. And he remembers being carried, cradled against a warm chest. He remembers slipping into a deep sleep - probably the deepest sleep he’s ever had - to the soothing sounds of soft voices whispering above his head.
He opens his eyes.

Summary
One moment he is pouring every last bit of qi into Wen Kexing, feeling his life force fade. Wen Kexing is gone, and Zhou Zishu will not, WILL NOT be left behind. He pours his qi into the now empty vessel.
His last thought is this, “If I could go back-”
This started as one of the chapters in my 5 Things that never happened story, but I fell in love with this verse and wanted to continue it as a separate work.

Summary
This is what makes him the most lovesick, a Modern AU of Word of Honor.
Zhou Zishu meant to die quietly from his lung disease, wandering the country, free of the chains of the Window of Heaven and his own regrets.
Wen Kexing is not having any of it, thank you; there are plenty of reasons to live, and to love Wen Kexing is prime among them.
Zhang Chengling is not really sure how he ended up here, to be honest.

Summary
Zhou Zi Shu presses his lips together to hold back his laughter and Wen Ke Xing can’t help but stare—wondering what it would be like to push in between them. Clearly caught, Zhou Zi Shu licks his bottom lip, and then walks off towards a truck that has just pulled into the loading area.
Wen Ke Xing takes a breath to calm his heart. Just as well that this Zhou Zi Shu had just walked away. He has no time for any romance whilst he is here. And he is not about to sleep with his client just for fun. He has plenty of other options for that.

Wen Ke Xing finds himself as an engineer in another country working to help rebuild a city a decade after a natural disaster had wreaked havoc in the region. There, he meets Zhou Zi Shu, CEO of Jin Construction and righthand man to the heir of the Jin Conglomerate.
