Zhongli was a simple Fatui Agent, a veteran Geochanter that worked under whoever needed him. He was an elegant warrior, always seen with a cup of tea on his hands. The agent noticed how Childe just couldn’t stay still.
“Is there something you need from me or any of the boys?” Zhongli asked with cautions. He had often sent his men to fight the Harbinger, just for them to come back with the tail between their legs.
“No… I, actually… I just need you.”
Or: Childe's dissatisfaction with a boring mission left him with adrenaline to consume, so he knows that he will need Zhongli's help to let go of that tension.

Has a hoard. Probably full of rare artifacts, bones, and tea.

And underneath, in much bolder, much more desperate handwriting:

Summary
“You came all this way,” Childe begins, stretching for a kiss, and Zhongli obliges him—it’s warm and soft, tender with love, “and you won’t even fuck me?”
Zhongli’s eyes narrow, and he pulls away from the kiss, taking in Childe’s surely ruined body, the tears on his face.
“Am I not tempting enough?” Childe presses, knowing full well he’s working his way up to something he might regret. He arches his back, digging his heels into the soft earth as he stretches, and Zhongli’s golden eyes flick across his body.
Childe tempts Zhongli with his body and his pleasure from the base of Zhongli’s Statue of Seven.

Summary

A few weeks after accepting a new contract, Childe's target is proving elusive. Fortunately, a chance meeting with Zhongli—a handsome author from Liyue—provides a welcome distraction from his work woes. However, as their relationship develops, it becomes apparent that Zhongli knows far more than he originally let on, habouring secrets that threaten to upturn everything Childe has ever known.
“You came.” Rybakov exhales, a trail of smoke floating up through his moustache, past the ‘No Smoking’ sign on the wall, and he taps his cigarette off in the ashtray. The pattern of black residue speckled with white ash isn’t dissimilar to the pattern of white hairs salting his dark hair, although it also wouldn’t be surprising if it were actually ash in his hair with the amount he smokes. “Then I can assume you wish to take this contract?”
Childe resists the urge to cover his nose. “That’s why I’m here.”
