Is it flattery if it's the truth, little lord? You know the answer to your own questions all too well.
The way D3rlord3 is subconsciously leaning into the King's touch is an answer all on its own, it doesn't even take omniscience to know that what the King wants isn't all that different from what D3rlord3 wants, though, D3rlord3 keeps his desires encased within a thick, mulish shell.
"Whatever it is you're trying to do—" D3rlord3 tries to pull away but stops, sucking air sharply through his teeth when his head gives a harsh throb "—it's not working. It wont work."
Yet it brought you back here.
OR
D3rlord3 returns to the King because he feels like he should (because deep down he wants to but he’s too full of himself to admit it) and they share a drink.

Summary
Quirrel, that explorer Ghost seems to run into everywhere they go. They can’t bring themselves to complain, Ghost has always enjoyed Quirrel’s company, so they step closer and take a seat on the sand beside him.
Quirrel tilts his head towards the knight in acknowledgment, allowing a moment to pass before his focus is returned to the lake.
“Again we meet, my short friend.” He says, echoed words woven with a sense of silken tranquility and exhaustion.

Summary
"I just - I don't think anyone has ever made me feel the way you make me feel and it's fuckin' weird, man. It's hard to navigate." Parker sputters out meekly, not daring to look at Aston for a second time.
The silence that followed only stretched on for a few seconds at least, but to Parker even 20 seconds felt too long. A twinge of panic creeps up his spine and raises goosebumps on the back of his neck; no matter how hard Parker tried to still his shaking hands, they only grew worse with each passing second. He prays it isn't as noticeable as it feels.

Summary
The walk to Aston’s room was shamefully dizzying, every part of Parker’s being screamed at him to turn back when he reached the door, his subconscious mind is fully convinced that this would all end terribly, he’s supposed to hate Aston, he’s supposed to be better than Aston, not whatever this is. With great struggle, Parker shuts out the persistent voice and reaches a hand up to the door, knocking on it firmly three times with a singular knuckle. After a long time spent growing but not emerging, Parker is certain he’s ready to break out of his arrogant shell.

Doc took a breath, the sudden intrusion of his voice wrenched Hank from his thoughts. He pulled a stitch taut with a swift tug, and cut the excess that hung loosely from the eye of the needle all in one fluid motion; hesitating as if reconsidering saying what he had planned to, though not for long.
"What was all that about? That night, you know what i'm talking about."
Hank stiffened, and the needle stilled. He felt his heart rate quicken, praying that Doc couldn't hear it hammering in his chest.
"I don't know."
