Welcome to New York City, the town of gangs, smoking, drugs, and all kinds of mischief. Well - if you were on that side of the coin that is. You'd think after living in New York for so long Sam would know about all the happenings of the underworld at this point but some people really do turn a blind eye. Especially one that’s so naive to the own criminals they welcome onto their doorstep just to fix a broken socket or a stripped wire.
But that’s all about to change on one fateful day when they run into one of the biggest and baddest bosses in town, Don Eklips. Well it would be if they even knew who he was. Guess they’ll just have to discover New York’s underbelly the fun way huh?
Edit: Hi everyone! Thanks for being so so patient with this fix if you’ve been a long time fan. I know there’s been tons of changes and this certainly is just the beginning of it. Tatooine wasn't always completely boring. There were Sandpeople, Jawas and Hutt enforcers everywhere. Plenty of fun places to race speeders and shoot wamp rats. No matter how much he wanted to leave the place, Luke's days weren't always monotonous. He had never had one like this before, though. Hadn't even considered it a possibility. Never thought he'd be almost killed twice. Or that in order to save the one who saved him, he'd have to marry a man he had known for a matter of hours.
A pre A New Hope story that explores bonds, love and cultures as Luke and Din learn more about themselves and each other.

Summary
When Din gets the slightest indication from Luke that his son could be in danger, Mand'alor and darksaber be damned, he leaves immediately to watch over Grogu while he completes his Jedi training.
What started as a protective measure, accidentally brings the Jedi and Mandalorian closer and causes them to hopelessly pine after one another, in what they each believe is one-sided. They couldn't be more wrong.

“I hired you a bounty hunter,” Leia said again, with the measured poise of one who dealt with theatrics on a too-regular basis––though never, of course, from Luke. Even from a dozen systems away, he could practically feel the amusement that lurked behind her eyes, a light music of fondness and delight. “He should be there this evening.”
Or, Leia hires Din to help out at Luke’s academy for a few months. A Dinluke rom-com ensues.
