Even less if your best friend is a journalist who has made it his life's mission to follow your every step to discover your true identity.
And miles less if you’re hopelessly in love with him, and he has no absolute clue.
Again, this city ain't for the weak. Especially not for the weak of heart.

Life took many of the boys to different places, states, persons, but one wedding would make the blue and the yellow combine in the sky to complete the sunrise, and clarify, for once and for all, what the hell is going on between the two of them.

A fic where Will and his family move to San Francisco after defeating Vecna, but still spending the holidays with the Wheelers. Eighteen months later, they come back to town for Nancy and Jonathan’s wedding. There, Mike and Will re encounter and try, for once and for all, to understand and embrace whatever’s going on between them.

Summary
Will and Mike are insanely competitive. Incapable of losing or letting the other win, it comes up in quite literally every aspect of their lives – whether it be one-upping each other while playing games, or drinking with their friends, or even arguments, neither side is ever willing to give up until it gets too tiring to keep going.

Will thinks for a moment, biting his lip and picking at his fingernails, before looking at Mike with a mysterious glint in his eyes. There's a rosy tint to his cheeks, and Mike has to stop himself from leaning over and biting them.
“Do you want to play Mario Kart again tonight?”
Mike and Will play video games. Just for fun. Totally, totally not as an excuse to get naked.

Summary
Something happened between Mike and Will during winter break of ‘89, and they haven’t spoken in four years. When Mike moves to New York for grad school in 1993, he is finally starting to figure himself out, and he wants to fix things with Will. He has no idea where to begin, so he writes a play about it.
Will has been building a life for himself in NYC as a painter. He has a boyfriend, volunteers with an AIDS housing program, and pays his rent by acting in other people’s plays – including, as it turns out, Mike’s.
A story about the damage of being loved before you’re ready, and about trying to make your way back (with a little help along the way from your meddling older siblings).

Summary

Late night talks turn into even later night kisses, friendly nudges to intoxicating touches, and the creaking of bedsprings now means something other than the return of Will's nightmares. Each new change blurs the line between friendship and something more, and as Will struggles to stay afloat through Mike's confusing storm, he starts wondering what it is exactly they are - and whether he'll sink for good in trying to find out.

“So,” Dustin announced as he brought back drinks for the whole table and very pointedly tipped his head in the direction of Mike and Will, who were mid-heated discussion where they’d left them. “Is anybody going to tell me what happened there?”
Max rolled her eyes and said, “Will had a real ‘don’t meet your heroes’ moment,” at the same time as Lucas said, “Mike got his feelings hurt.”
Miscommunication kings Will and Mike have a falling out in the aftermath of their first kiss. Three years later, Jane & Dustin are getting married in the Florida Keys, and they want the whole party there. Sometimes it's easier to pretend to kiss and make up than to face your problems.
