“Wait, it is! You tricked me.” Ravi announces, loudly.
“Shhh, yell louder, why don’t you.” Eddie puts a hand over his mouth to silence him.
“No, you tricked me, that’s Buck over there. I knew the name was familiar, this is the same place of his speed date thingy he said he’d go to.” He slaps his hand away, but lowers his voice. Not his annoyed tone though.
“I didn’t know this was the same place.” Eddie tries, but he knows it sounds like a weak excuse even to his own ears.
“Don’t give me that, you had a reservation! In your name! You planned this.” Ravi declares pointing a finger at Eddie’s face. And well…

“Who complained about you eating, question?” Someone must’ve said something. He’s had so many visitors in the last couple of days. Who was it? Grace has never questioned this part of himself. Grace huffs at me.
“No one! I’m just trying to be polite! Eridians have special soundproof eating rooms, shouldn’t I?”
“You are not Eridian!”
He doesn’t need to meet our standards; he’s his own species! Some things he might need to change in his daily life to adapt to Erid life, but his food habits don’t need to be one of them. My words don’t comfort Grace like I thought they would. Grace shrinks into himself, and I wish I were on his side to hug him.
or the Entities provide Grace with a culture teacher to prepare for life on Erid and he gets his first taste of Eridian inhospitality.

« I'll start looking after school. » Grace said. « Can you just tell me what these suppressants are supposed to do so I can already think about it?»
Simon snorted at his question, and Grace looked back at him in surprise.
« I know you're a beta, but come on. » Simon said as though the teacher had just made a dumb joke.
This only confused Grace further, leaving him standing still in their kitchen.
« … I'm a what now? » He said, blinking at Simon.
( Or Simon comes from an ABO verse which is not the case for Grace. Now Grace is left with a lot of questions like : what is an omega and what do you do when your roommate is going into heat ?)

Something was standing above his towel.
No… someone.
They seemed to be observing the towel, claws tapping against the material with what he took as curiosity, pinching it between the appendage.
Was it Rocky? It’d make sense, the Eridian would certainly have something harsh to say about him leaving his stuff laying around. He always had some mean quip to insult his shoddy human memory.
He opened his mouth to defend himself before Rocky could say something snappy, when the figure then moved, stocky legs rising from beneath their carapace and lifting them to their full standing height.
They were tall. Too tall.
That wasn’t Rocky.
OR
Grace receives an unexpected visitor one night in his home on Erid.
