What happens when the person you hate most by day is the one you'd die for by night?
In an AU Paris, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste are both wildly successful and carefully guarded adults. Unbeknownst to each other, they are also Ladybug and Chat Noir - superheroes deeply, hopelessly in love behind the safety of their masks, yet still bound by their promise never to reveal their identities.
But when a buried clause in a long-forgotten contract forces Marinette and Adrien into an arranged marriage - one neither of them wanted, expected, or agreed to - they find themselves legally and publicly bound to a stranger...and privately resentful of each other.

can you imagine how fucking funny it would've been if prime queen just. didnt happen? like chat noir could've potentially gone years without ever knowing he and ladybug kissed when they fought dark cupid -- a kiss which SHE fully remembers. like at age nineteen or twenty one day he's complaining about a shitty date he just came back from and she's like 'oh did you do that weird thing with your tongue when you kissed her? maybe that's why she ended it early' and he's like. what?
cue ladybug having to awkwardly tell him that yes, they actually did kiss once around five or six years ago, and she's been using that experience this whole time to justify the observation that chat noir is a terrible kisser. he is SO mad.
