Summary
Harvey Specter had tried cases worth hundreds of millions of dollars without breaking a sweat. He had dismantled hostile witnesses, shredded opposing counsel, and walked into courtrooms where the odds were stacked so high against him they might as well have been skyscrapers. Through all of it he had never once forgotten what he intended to say.
Until tonight.
Which, frankly, annoyed him.

Summary
What happened instead was Harvey saying, very evenly, "Get out of my office," and when Mike had opened his mouth, "No. Out. Done. You're banned."
"You can't ban me from your office."
"Watch me."
And that had been that.
The thing was, Harvey had clearly expected the ban to function the way bans conventionally functioned, which was to say he had expected it to keep Mike out of his office.
This was a reasonable expectation to have about a ban. It was the kind of expectation that worked on normal people, on associates who had something to lose, on anyone with a functional sense of professional self-preservation. Mike had a lot of things. A functional sense of professional self-preservation was not really among them.
So.

Summary
It started, like most things with Harvey, without warning. Mike had been sitting at Harvey’s dining table, trying not to feel like he was out of place among the sleek furniture and floor-to-ceiling view, when Harvey appeared with a plate of something that looked far too good to be eaten on a random Tuesday night. Before Mike could even lift his fork, Harvey cut a bite, speared it, and held it out.
Mike had laughed, thought it was some kind of joke, but Harvey only raised one eyebrow—the eyebrow that usually preceded winning arguments and closing deals—and so Mike leaned forward, lips closing around the bite. And that was that. Harvey fed him the next one, and the next, until Mike realized somewhere along the way he hadn’t even touched his own fork.

Summary
Mike had never really pictured himself as the kind of guy who got kept. Kept sounded like something out of an old novel, like he should be lounging around in silk robes while Harvey puffed on cigars and called him "rookie" in that smooth baritone.
Except, somehow, that was almost exactly what his life had become. Well—minus the cigars. Harvey hated smoke on his suits. But the rest? The expensive apartment, the racks of suits Mike didn’t remember buying, the bottles of cologne that just happened to appear on the dresser like magic? Yeah. He was living in Harvey Specter’s world now, and Harvey seemed determined to fit him into it piece by piece.

Summary
On the track to becoming a Junior Partner, Mike thinks he is ready to move on from his shabby shoebox apartment and move on--in the world and from his feelings for a certain Senior Name Partner.
Harvey, on the other hand, doesn't think he should let Mike find a new place on his own. Who knows what kind of dump the puppy would pick out? After all, he's still wearing those damn skinny-ass ties!
