"...You’ve always been the confident one, Hero. You– You’re my Hero. And everyone else’s, too.” Hero shifted his body away from his younger brother, rolling onto his side. “...Hero, Mari wouldn’t want to see you like this.”
…What the hell did he say?
-------
Or: My take on Hero's perspective concerning the fight discussed in the graveyard.
A prequel to my other fic, in the end, it never mattered. Can be read as a standalone!
edit: omg?? 100 hits?!?! thank you so much!! :DDD

Summary
Kel retrieved the basketball with shaking hands, having just missed for the umpteenth time that night.
He had told himself again and again that Hero didn’t mean it. Kel told himself he didn’t remember a word Hero said. But it had been years, and he still couldn’t get over it.
His memory was usually… flawed, to say the least, but why not now?
Hero’s words sliced through his thoughts like knives as he readied himself for another shot.
"...It should have been you, not her."
-------
Or: It's nights like these that Kel is reminded of that fateful quarrel.

Summary
“...What would you do if I abstracted tomorrow?”
Jax froze. He turned around, his pupils dilated to the point where they almost filled his scleras.
“I’d move on…” He grinned eerily, cocking his head to one side.
“...And probably forget about you.”
A pause.
…
Without another word, Pomni flipped the barrel to her head and pulled the trigger.
----------------
Basically, Pomni shoots herself, and Jax is wrecked.

my takes on the Hero-Kel fight scene mentioned in the graveyard.
...okay, so I know this idea is kind of overused, but I just wanted to shoot my shot at it! besides, Kel is my favorite character, and I'm honestly running out of fics with decent Kel angst to read. so I wrote some myself :)

Summary
It's a long way down. Do you want to jump?
Don't be afraid. It's not as scary as you think.
Death was different than Sunny had imagined. He wasn't an atheist, so he at least believed in an afterlife, maybe not heaven, but at least something. At least being a ghost would have been kind of cool. Instead the afterlife was wet. Very wet. It was also very cold.

Sunny’s confession really screwed up their lives all over again, but Kel is fine, and he’s fixing it. Putting the broken parts back together. He did it before, and he can do it again.
He’s going to fix this.

Summary
Nobody likes Aubergine Williams.
They might seem nice, but she knows it’s all just an act.
She works alone in group projects, sits alone at the back of the class, and knows that when she gets pushed around, there won’t be anybody there to save her.
Until the arrival of Basil Fey.
He treated her as he would anyone else, asked her about her thoughts and opinions, and introduced her to people that would change her life as she knew it.
To them, she wasn’t just the untalented weird girl without a proper understanding of other people’s feelings. They saw her for her, for Aubrey.
But nobody knew her like Kelsey Desoto.
He was her best friend, the person she could talk to about any of her problems without any judgment, the person who was there for her when nobody else was.
She would do anything in her power to keep him by her side, leading her to do something she would regret for the rest of her life...
