“I had another dream. About it.”
Ryan’s eyebrows knit in worry, hands extending out to Naim.
“What? C’mere,” he takes hold of Naim’s hands gently, guiding him back to bed.
Naim hesitates for a moment before letting him. He rests his hands in Ryan’s palms, feeling the warmth of his skin.
“It was different from the last one, it was more… real, I guess,” Naim shrugs, taking a seat on the bed. “Sorry if I woke you.”
Ryan is quick to shake his head. “No, no, always wake me when this happens, seriously, Naim. Keep talking, tell me what happened.”

Summary
They don’t speak on the bus. Maybe it’s the fragile truce that’s formed since the bus passengers proved they were both somehow still alive. Together. Maybe it’s the soft peace that’s settled since Naim allowed himself to bury his face in Ryan’s shoulder once again. And Ryan nuzzled against him in return. Maybe it’s wondering if Ryan, too, sees his ghost watching as they pass through an endless, empty landscape.

"I'd rather die than do this without you," Naim says, quietly. He lets his left hand fall on Ryan's thigh, fingers running across the fabric of his trousers, "Not even because of the fucking entity, I'd just rather kill myself than live in that shithole without you."
A kiss, light and soft, underneath Naim's ear. Ryan having to bend his neck quite a bit just to access the spot.
"Me too."
