Rosinante had only meant to buy the polar bear Mink cub so he could protect him from the less savory members of his class. But he quickly realizes they only way to save the cub—Bepo—is by returning him to his home island of Zou.
An untraceable, moving island. In the New World.
Undeterred and itching to get out from under his brother’s “protective” thumb, Rosinante and Bepo head out into the world. But as they travel and meet new friends, Rosinante questions what home really means and if he wants to go back at all.

Only, there’s already someone living on the farm. Someone named Bartolomeo who wants absolutely nothing to do with the stranger who’s been handed his home on a silver platter.
If there’s any hope for the farm to return to its former glory, they’ll have to learn to coexist, at the very least.
It may seem impossible, at first, but…a lot can happen in a year.

Summary
Penguin’s tired. He’s been so for longer than a decade, almost two, but for the past few years something has been steadily growing, a dark tar laying thick inside of his chest. Back then it was ignorable, but now it chokes him from the inside out, leaving something nasty behind and making Penguin’s issues prominent. It leaves him feeling ashamed, guilty, anxious, unbearably sad, and so exhausted.
Lately, Penguin’s been thinking of just how much better things would be if he were to just finally disappear.
