Summary
Grian is out hunting because he is hungry, when another vampire (Mumbo) shows up and jumps him. The other vampire scans Grian a bit. Then, the other vampire quickly realizes that Grian is a newly turned vampire without a sire, and wonders how Grian is still alive and hunting on his own. Mumbo takes him back to the one of the Botem's manors (because Grian was kinda doing illegal vampire stuff) and things go on from there.
OR: Grian is new vampire without sire. Mumbo shows up and is like "I gotchu" and takes him home.

Doc looked... Grian up and down, “Did you hit a growth spurt?”
Grian nodded with practiced calmness, “Yeah. Just at that point in my life mate. So… Where do we start?”
X had heard Grian’s voice, this was not Grian’s voice. He looked over to Doc who seemed to be thinking the same thing.
“Grian…” Doc started, “why are you… australian..?”
'Grian' coughed a bit, supposedly clearing his throat. “Australian fever, it’s been goin’ around…”
“Right…” X said as he scribbled something on his note sheet. Maybe Australian fever was just a British thing? Or a just 'Grian' thing.. You never really know these days.
OR
Hermit-health check day is here. Grian does NOT want to do it, so he calls in Pearl, his twin sister, to do it for him. Unfortunately for him, Pearl is about a foot and a half taller and Australian. Whatever will happen next? Chaos and fluff ensues.

Summary
After a hurtful argument with Scar, logic is replaced with emotion and Grian overdoses. He meets Taurtis, a spirit that wants to show him that the idea 'I can't hurt anyone if I kill myself' is wrong.
The past is reflected on, and Grian might just get a second chance..

He pressed himself further back into the corner, a snarl coming to his lips. The eye creatures never reacted to his shouting, but they did hesitate when he growled. But when the lanky aliens came around the corner, they didn't so much as look at him. Instead, they were focused on what looked like a stretcher, the kind that ambulances used back on Earth.
Sitting atop it, perfectly still, was another human.
Scar felt his heart stop in his chest. It was impossible. There was no way there was another human on the ship. It had to be a trick of some kind, a robot made to look human, or a statue, or something. This was some sort of experiment, a test to see how he would react to seeing something that looked like his own species.
But they looked so lifelike.

As the only two humans outside of the solar system, they have only each other to rely on. Alone, it was impossible to escape. But with Grian by his side, maybe, just maybe, they have a chance.
