Summary
Sofia is… well, she’s Eddie. Eddie, if he were magically transformed into a woman. A gorgeous, charismatic woman with Eddie’s laugh, who is currently staring at Buck with the same soft, open gaze Eddie often employs when he wants Buck to clean the gutters, or degrease the oven, or stop flinging himself into danger like his life is worthless. The one that makes Buck want to sleep on his couch, move into his house, curl up on his chest like a cat and stay there forever. Fuck.
OR: Buck meets Eddie’s sister.
It’s not about the Furby.

Summary
He got out of the Jeep, jabbing his hand between them to illustrate how far over the line this dude’s stupid truck was.
The guy jumped out in return, his movements surprisingly graceful. He flexed his fists like he was restraining himself from punching something, and the move made his muscular forearms bulge. “Dumbass!? What are you, twelve?”
But then the dumbass stopped suddenly, squinting at Buck and gesturing to the left side of his head. “Hey, what’s that on your face?”
Buck had heard that one more times than he could count. He didn’t even blink. “It’s a birthmark.”
OR: Probie Buck and Cadet Eddie collide in a parking lot.

Summary
He grabbed Theo by the waist as he tried to leap out the door, wrestling him to the ground. Theo dissolved into giggles, hair and tie already done for. It would be a miracle if he made it through the afternoon without staining his shirt, but Buck was laughing too. He couldn’t bring himself to care much about stains and scuffs and messy hair on a day like this.
OR: Buddie with Theo on a special occasion.

Summary
This was not ideal. Whatever Theo had yesterday was hitting him hard- he was lightheaded, shaking with chills, and his stomach was still trying to fight its way out of him through his throat. And he didn’t have the luxury of lying on the couch all day; he had a completely healthy and extremely energetic four year old to take care of.
Buck tried to think. Theo had thrown up a few times, he’d had a low fever, but he’d mostly just been tired and worn out. Buck could handle this; he was probably through the worst of it already. He would just let Theo run around in the back yard, keep his meals easy, give him extra TV time, and crash as soon as the kid went to bed. This was just one of those things parents had to deal with from time to time. No problem. Great plan, go team.
OR: Buck powers through a stomach bug until he can’t. Then he calls Eddie.

Summary
Then Eddie nuzzles into Buck’s neck, his lips grazing his ear. Buck shivers. He rolls his hips against Buck’s again, just a little, like he can’t help it, and whispers, “I want you to fuck me.”
Buck stills. The whole world comes crashing to a halt. “You- uh, what?”
Eddie looks at him again, blushing deeper now, arousal and embarrassment heating his face, but not breaking eye contact. “Please. I want you to fuck me.”
Buck’s not sure why this possibility never occurred to him. He was too busy being horny, probably.

Summary
“So,” Buck says, head spinning. He’s really feeling the alcohol now. They definitely should have eaten something before drinking. “No women.”
Eddie fumbles as he sets the bottle down on his bedside table. “No women.”
“What about men?” Buck blurts, which is—crazy, because again: neither of them are gay.
They’re just two straight guys. Two straight guys in Eddie’s bed, tipsy, and—and Eddie doesn’t want to sleep with women. Which means nothing.
Beside him, Eddie goes preternaturally still. “I would know, if I—you know.”
“Okay.” Buck’s hands twitch at his sides. “I—yeah. Me too.”
Then, very seriously, Eddie turns to look at him. “If I were gay, you would be my first call.”
Warmth blooms in Buck’s chest. Eddie’s so nice to him. “Dude,” he says, touched. “You’d be my first call too.”
Or: a story set in season 2 featuring tequila, Just The Tip, and, finally, a kiss.

Summary
“Bobby,” Frank says. “We could talk about him, if you’d like.”
He seriously considers it, for a moment— considers cracking open his jaw and letting the words pour forth, everything he never got to stay. Every sour, wretched, guilty thought that never left the confines of his mind, late at night when he would clutch at his chest and grit his teeth and stain his pillow with tears.
But the moment has passed. That was then, and this was now.
“No, thanks,” Eddie says quietly.
Frank lets out a little sigh, and then gives him another one of those half-smiles. “Okay,” he concedes, before picking up the pen in his lap. “Why don’t you tell me about the call to the parking garage?”
“Hospital,” Eddie says. “It was a hospital.”
