Summary
Samus Aran, the greatest weapon of the Galactic Federation, Is done. After her last mission on ZDR resulted in a fight for survival, Samus is left with a body she hates, a mind she can't escape from, and no money to keep herself afloat. In order to support herself, she takes on what she thinks will be the easiest job of her life. How hard could it be to act as a bodyguard to a princess? Little did Samus know, the mission would balloon in insanity due to various things, including but not limited to:
Confronting an ancient demon, teaching a chosen hero about ethics, immersing herself in the political machinations of a magic ridden medieval kingdom, getting mind controlled, fighting a dragon, making more friends than she's ever had in her life, and falling in love with one princess Zelda.
That last one would end up changing her life forever.

Summary
All Samus wanted after ZDR was a quiet mission so she can collect her thoughts and still get paid. On what was supposed to be a simple survey commission, she is ambushed by Space Pirates and crash lands on an uncharted planet, HYL-628. With no information about this planet, and long range communications cut off by the magical field surrounding the solar system, Samus needs to figure out a way to get back to galactic civilization.
Meanwhile, Zelda is doing her best to rebuild Hyrule after years of Ganondorf's destruction and tyranny. Four years have passed since he was sealed away and she sent the Hero of Time back to the past. She has to contend with frayed foreign relations, renegades that used to be loyal to Ganondorf, and now a new threat from the skies that has been abducting people all over the land. The army loyal to her is ill-equipped to handle any of these issues as disaster looms over the nascent and bankrupt Kingdom of Hyrule.
This is a tale of two unlikely characters crossing paths, and how they face disaster together.

My name is Lena, but everyone calls me Robert Robertson. That's because I'm a closeted trans woman. After my Dad died, it's been rough, and I've been figuring out a lot of things, gender being one of them. A year ago, I realized I was trans. I've been growing my hair out, and it's past shoulder length now. I've also been taking estrogen injections for a few months now. I haven't come out to anyone because I don't really talk to people in my day-to-day. At night, I fight crime as the superhero Mecha Man, a title I inherited from my dad and his father. I like having the anonymity of the mech suit; it keeps my private life private. I guess it does suck still being perceived as a man, but I don't really care. People need Mecha Man to save the day, and I'm happy to be there. Regardless of whether the 'man' part is true.

This new villain must be stupid.
Really fucking stupid, or willing to risk it all. Because not only did he just kidnap Blonde Blazer and MechaMan's girlfriend, he kidnapped a member of the Z-team. The Z-team who work together better than ever with Friday karaoke and Taco Tuesday and MarioKart nights. The Z-team who, for the first time, well, ever, have their shit somewhat duct-taped together.
Yeah. He's fucked.
