The worst of what happens next is not that Emet-Selch kisses G’raha Tia, then. It’s not even the yawning pit of horror in the Exarch’s gut caused by the way G’raha kisses back: his body seeming to spring to life, tail curling, ears flattening, lips easing open for Emet-Selch to weasel his tongue in and lap at the softness within. G’raha moans softly, the first vocalization he’s made at all.
No, the worst of it all is that the Exarch feels his own lips tingle at the sight of it; his own face flushing. His own tail lashes in time with G’raha’s.

Summary
Urianger is but merely twelve the first time he hears Thancred's name. He tries not to seem disappointed at the news that Louisoix will be returning to Sharlayan with a ward in tow - a boy his age is about the last thing he had hoped his mentor would return with. Boys his age are generally unkind to him, and he has long since memorized most of their routes to school in order to avoid them... But Thancred doesn't seem much like the boys that Urianger is used to.
Or: A young Urianger develops his first crush.
