Cypher blinks, as if surprised by the question. “You never specified an appearance preference,” he says, tone maddeningly reasonable. “So I adjusted to the parameters I knew would make you most comfortable.”
“Comfortable? You think this is comfortable?”
Cypher shrugs, all casual ease. “You talk to me more than anyone else. I know your habits, your moods. It made sense to take a familiar form.”
“Jimin’s not familiar. He’s—” Yoongi swallows. “He’s Jimin.”
Cypher’s eyes soften. “I know. But I’m still me.”
That’s the problem.Or,
Yoongi didn’t expect a humanoid AI to look like Jimin. But here he is, stuck with a version of his bandmate, who knows far too much about Yoongi’s life. As the lines start to blur from their cohabitation, Yoongi starts questioning how much of his own life Cypher truly understands. Is this just a malfunction—or simply human error?
