Summary
The small town of Crenshaw Peak is his; from the top of the titular mountain it was named after, to the forest surrounding it in all directions, down to every house and building in the town. All of it is Gary's, and Gary's alone.
Not a single person knows his secret; that the lone wolf stalking the mountain is their friend, neighbor, and coworker, Gary Sanderson. They could never know. There will always be a part of him that he has to hide, something that keeps him from ever fully being part of them.
So what happens when four other wolves move into his territory without asking? There are too many of them for him to fight off, and he can't chase them away without bringing suspicion to himself, so for the time being he is stuck with them.
Something about having them so close is tantalizing, intoxicating - and dangerous. How long will his secret keep?

Summary
Roach is killed by Shepherd, a gunshot and fire crowding his lungs as he dies beside the man he loves. That should have been the end, but it wasn't. Instead, Roach finds himself reborn into a new life, with all of his memories from the first intact. Haunted by his old life and the memories of his lover, Ghost, Roach tries to navigate this new life and find his way back to the people that he cares about. Summary
The creature's eyes rake down him, emotion impossible to discern. "Oh, look at you," it says softly. "Hodrian, were you?"
Roach doesn't know. He's certainly never seen a creature like this one before - it must come from a planet much farther away.
"If you say so," he replies, pleased that this language at least can be understood. "And what are you, stranger?"
"Human," the creature replies. "And uninfested. I'd like to remain that way."
"Of course," Roach says, fidgeting with his host's hands. "This host was dead when I found it."
The creature tilts its head. Then, it turns back to stare into the bowels of its ship, raises its voice; "Soap, come out. Found you a friend."
