Summary
This little brain blorb has been jangling around my head. DL6 didn't happen and the childhood friends stayed friends. Shenanigans ensue.
I LOVE THEM.
I wanted to explore that beautiful friendship dynamic that we see so little of in the franchise. And this is mostly just silly domestic friendship stuff aside from Phoenix pining for Miles HARD. (and vise versa but he doesn't know that just yet.) There is a bit of a trauma jump scare that I'm planning a little further in. But hey! You don't need to worry about that right now :D
(The trauma will lead to better things, trust.)
For the most part it's just a buncha college aged boys dicking around. And Maya is there to bully the shit out of them (in a funny sibling way).
P.S The eventual smut is real and it gets a lil crazy be prepared. 😋

This is a fic I started almost 2 years ago now (WOOOOW that's crazy to think about.) And during that time we suffered the loss of a legend and some terrible developments with people. SO this fic is in the name of remembrance for Technoblade and preserving the past.

Phoenix harbours no illusions that getting his badge back is going to be an easy task, even if the hardest part of clearing his name is technically over. He's fully aware that his reinstatement is going to be a bit more complicated than just passing the bar and is going to be more of a case of:
Step 1: Save money to retake bar exam
Step 2: Study frantically to pass said bar exam
Step 3: Pass bar exam
Step 4: Hope and pray that he'll somehow be able to still pull in clients after his reputation got burned to the ground
Step 5: Haircut
Step 6: New suit
Step 7: Finally, finally confess his passionate love for Edgeworth that has been eating him up inside for the past 25 years
Step 8: ???? Lawyer???Thankfully he has a pretty solid support network of people willing to help him out. And if Edgeworth has anything to say about it, they'll probably be able to cut out a few of those steps along the way.
Which is why Phoenix promises himself one thing. If he passes the bar again, he is absolutely going to kiss the Chief Prosecutor square on the lips. Whatever happens after that, they'll just have to wait and see.
