The grief, the heartache, the death, the failure.Every path she takes leads to pain, and happiness shatters with time, corrodes like metal.
Nothing lasts forever, Hollyberry can’t last forever, WHY does she TRY to perservere in the face of impossible?“I can. I can help there. Even if it’s not perfect, I can be there for them.” Hollyberry admits, a creeping softness slithering in what she intended to be stern, her final say.
Eternal Sugar perks up at such care regarding her, angelic wings puffing up though still burning.Hollyberry CANNOT know what she is talking about.

Teagan hummed, spotless as ever, she's graceful and attentive in more ways than socially------ she always pays attention to her surroundings, tuned in to the lightest flickers, sounds, movement, she always keeps in mind where her body is, how it moves.
Her sharp focus lets her keep clean.Scraps can't say she doesn't relate, really.
She's not a cat----- but she resembles one enough. Scraps herself has experienced a few of those moments, where as if on instinct, as if some switch in her was flipped, she laser focuses on a target.
The stray ball of yarn in her room, a piece of paper she's been looking for, to bend and make shapes out of, Pebble, a mice, that somehow found it's way on the bottom levels of the elevator.Yatta's the one out of the three that has it the worst, really, that girl is everywhere, flying through the vents, just for little Toodles to look up, and say--------- "Daaaaddd? Why is there tumbling in the walls????????" eyes following the movement of the sound, as Rodger sighs and shakes his head dissaprovingly.

And Cosmo's hands shake, when he's speaking in that nervous voice, desperately trying not to show his anxiety in front of other people, guiding over children through the process, while he's having so much trouble focusing on satisfying the customers, being likeable, and baking at the same time.
The tiny choked yelps, whenever he slips, flour tumbling into the bowl in over what is needed, his flush of emberrasment as others make it into a joke, careless laughter, bashful following along with it.
(And Sprout's stomach, tied in knots from fury, or from empathy, or from sadness, because even if he can guide along the group, even if he can take their attention like the morning sun, the main toon, the main attraction, the one who's confident, who's happy, whose cupcakes we are eating, the one they want to look at------
He can't take Cosmo away from there, he can't crouch down, softly guide him into a safe place, he can't ask him if he can hold onto his arms, he can't take him into his embrace, he can't.

Not once in her life did she ever agree with this kingdom's methods of 'dealing' with those born with magic. The first thing they were taught when entering training for the Elven Guard though was that it was follow along with the laws of any land you were visiting, or commit treason and start a war. "It's different and you know that. I can't just let you walk out of here." Why couldn't you have been more careful. Why did it have to be her who found them.
"I'll kill you, or you'll have to kill me if you want to take him." The girl's hand was steady, her words coming out without falter.

The game’s creators, their wardens, wanted him to start thinking like that. They wanted him to be desperate, to cling to life with everything he had, even if it meant destroying somebody else’s.
Unfortunately for them, Kazutoshi had already learned long ago that the world hated him and wanted him dead, and that every single second spent defying that fate was him raising a massive middle finger at God. He had chosen to keep living out of spite, but he refused to do it through the terms set out by the killing game.
And that meant that if he wanted to experience any of those simple, lovely dreams, he was going to have to get everyone out of this alive.
