“Your sleeping problem. How long has it been going on?”
“I don’t…Malfoy, I don’t have sleeping problem.”
“You’re lying.”
----------
It’s been six years since the Battle of Hogwarts. In the midst of a new and brutal war, Hermione Granger cannot recognize the soldier she’s become.
Healer Draco Malfoy has enough on his plate without worrying about Granger and her martyr complex. Why, then, can he not banish her from his mind?
It’s a duty of care, he tells himself.
A duty of care, and nothing more.

Summary
War is not skin-deep. It cuts to the marrow.
This is not a story. It is a war journal. What if Voldemort had won?
What if Ron Weasley had broken?
What if the last hope of the wizarding world lay in the hands of a girl, and a boy raised by monsters?
Gringotts has fallen. Hogwarts is under siege. The Ministry is a farse. Harry is presumed dead. Hermione has vanished.
Ron Weasley — bitter, and branded — has returned not as a brother, but a hunter.
But he isn’t the only one hunting her.
Draco Malfoy, disgraced and unraveling, is caught in a race to find Hermione first. What begins as a mission becomes something else entirely as he sees her brilliance, her defiance, her capacity to survive the very world that is trying to erase her.
Across gutted cities and cursed vaults, through loss, betrayal, and crumbling alliances, Marrow follows those left behind in the shadow of a tyrant’s victory. The resistance is fractured. The dead are mounting.
In a world where Unforgivables are policy, magical creatures are enslaved or extinct, and love itself is a liability — survival isn’t noble.
It’s necessary. Nobody walks out clean.

For his crimes as a Death Eater, Draco Malfoy is sentenced to five years of cursed exile, condemned to wear his Death Eater mask. As reparations for her torture, Hermione Granger is awarded Malfoy Manor and its fortune.
Little does she know the manor can only change hands through death, marriage, or extended residency. Forbidden to let Voldemort's former seat of power rot, she must complete the transference at the behest of Shacklebolt's new Ministry.
Now forced under the same roof for a year, a war hero and a disgraced Death Eater must confront their shared history, their deepest prejudices, and an unexpected truth: healing doesn't always happen alone.

Summary
This is a story about life and of two people navigating the challenges that come along with it. Hermione and Draco are both broken souls, struggling with the aftermath of war. To their mutual displeasure, a chance encounter in the muggle world brings them together. Hermione forces Draco to unpack his bigotry, while Draco provides Hermione comfort when she has no one else to turn to. Ultimately, they both help each other pick up the pieces and heal.
In life, as in many things, timing is everything. As they stumble into adulthood, Hermione and Draco are forced apart as circumstances take them down different paths.
But fear not, dear reader. Inevitably, that tug, that pull, is too strong to ignore, and they find their way back to each other once more.
