Uzui hums in affirmation. “What I’m trying to say is that there’s nothing wrong with being in love with the boar boy, or whatever you choose to call it,” he says. “I learned a long time ago that trying to deny the things that scream inside you never end well.”
Tanjiro wants to say that it’s not true. That Inosuke’s just his friend. That he couldn’t possibly be in love with a boy. But at its core, what Uzui’s trying to say is that the heart wants what it wants, society be damned. And Tanjiro knows that he’s been through too much to care, at this point.
or, Uzui drops by for a visit, and teaches Tanjiro something yet again.

inotan's first meeting set in a soulmate au where the world is in black and white until you make eye contact with your soulmate for the first time. short and sweet, aka, i was re-watching demon slayer in anticipation for the new season & got to this episode, and thought "how funny would it be if your soulmate turned out to be this guy and you knew it immediately upon meeting him?" tanjiro must be so tired.

In further retaliation a fist smacks against his forehead. Of course Tanjiro isn’t hurt (in fact the small tug of his lips suggests the other boy might’ve bruised his hand slightly) but the action is still rather annoying.
