Ilya Rozanov makes a shock announcement that he will leave Russia, and longtime coach Sergei Vetrov, to instead work with American coach Vincent LeClair at The Skating Club of Boston ahead of the next Olympics. This comes after a disappointing silver medal result in Vancouver a few months ago, where Rozanov just barely failed to overcome home-crowd favorite, Shane Hollander.
Shane snaps his laptop shut harshly, blue light of the screen still visible on the edges of his vision. His mom emailed him the article early this morning, because apparently while he was sleeping soundly in Montreal, all hell was breaking loose in Russia.
