“We have a million things to do today.” Bex grumbles as she brushes her freshly dried hair.
Shane scoffs from behind her, stepping back into the bathroom shirtless and in a pair of black sweats that hang low on his hips. Water still drips from his dark curls, some making it onto his chest.
She has never been happier to be his wife than at this moment. Other than when she had their son of course.
“Not right now we don’t.” Shane’s hands find her hips through her faded cotton sleep-shirt. It’s actually his, hanging off her shoulder, past her thighs and with U.S. Marines stamped across the front in black lettering. “Right now we’re going to go to bed.”
“I can’t just go to bed, Shane. I have all those reports to fill out and new ones to file. Morales is coming over in a few hours to help locate the families of the deceased. Hassani is getting his ass chapped trying to hold off that fucker in charge of prisoner transport for me. Not to mention—
“Nope.” Shane covers her eyes with one hand while the other takes the brush out of her own. He wraps one arm around her waist, hooks his chin over her shoulder and presses his bare chest to her back. “No more thinking for you, beautiful."
