He couldn't stop thinking about that man... about Daigo.
Perhaps precisely because no one had ever dared to leave him alone in a bar like an idiot, no one would have ever ignored a message from him.
Yet Daigo was informed about his status...
That was haunting him, frustrating him to no end. At work, Mine hoped for a reply with every ring. He left the gym even more dissatisfied than how he entered it, unable to let off steam because none of his opponents were able to stand up to him like Daigo.

He could, however, see a faint reflection of his bruised face in the glass. Steep shadows charred his face, and while bandages covered the cuts, they didn’t disguise swollen purple bruises warping the left side. For a brief moment, in this distorted mirror, Mine did not recognize himself. He glanced away and remembered the prickle of asphalt against his cheek. When Daigo arrived to save him, he mentioned that the top patriarchs weren’t happy using their earnings to save Mine’s life. All these flowers, then. Did they leave ‘gifts’ here because they liked him, or because it was out of obligation towards a boss?
Those young men died on the street for Daigo’s sake. Would anyone leave flowers for Yoshitaka?
Set during Dark Ties. Injured after the fight with Ikari, Mine wanders the hospital and has a chance encounter with the man he's begun to devote his life to.

He didn’t hear the shouts warning him to be careful as he stepped into the open in the middle of the corridor. He no longer heard anything, not even the frantic beating of his own heart, not even the strangled noise that escaped his throat as he saw him…And he found him again.

“Here’s Noah with one of the stray cats he picked up. Believe it or not, we had a whole zoo back on his island. And here’s Masaru — that was one of my crew members — tryin’ out karaoke. Highkey sucked at it. This one’s me with the bartender of the karaoke bar. Pretty funny dude. And here’s Jason with a terrible sunburn—”
“Wait, hold on,” Daigo interjected, his mouth suddenly feeling dry, “go back to the previous photo.”
That karaoke bartender had looked familiar, and not in a good way.

Summary
What would have happened if Kiryu had stayed on as the Fourth Chairman? Besides, Yumi survives here. And I'm sure you can imagine what that means...
But Majima will also be around, continuing this strange relationship that Kiryu and he have... whatever that is.Basically, it's a *VERY* long fic, reimagining every scene, exploring their relationship in depth (from how it started to when they're already an established couple, with the typical couple problems).
**Since this fic is quite long, I wanted to add more information in case someone doesn't want to waste their time. (This will be in the notes in the first chapter of the fic. It was too long and I couldn't add it here D:)
*** The tag for "implied past rape/non-con": It's open to interpretation. Like in the game, I won't make it clear that it happened, but some people might read it that way, and others might read it as he was just tortured. Majima doesn't remember so just pick the version you prefer, but the tag will be there for those who can be triggered by the implication.
Either way, Majima is traumatized and will have to deal with his trauma, so keep that in mind.- Language:
