Summary
A collection of one-shots for whumptober 2024. Most will probably be centered around Kaji or Sakura because as my favorites I guess that means they have to suffer the most.
Rated it as Mature because there's violence and explicit language.
Update: idk if this will be finished tbh. Maybe I’ll revive myself for some whumptober 2025 and include some continuations. Thanks for all the love and I’ll see you on the flip side or in a few when I start posting again.

“Ah, good morning, um…Nirei-kun, was it?” That was strange. Why does he sound so unsure? Like he isn’t used to saying Akihiko’s name. Was this another one of Suo’s jokes? Akihiko chuckles in response. He’s not Sakura, he’s not falling for that.
“Of course that’s my name, Suo-san!”
“Right…” But Suo still looks unsure. Unfamiliar. Like he barely knows him.
“It’s rare for you to come up and greet us like this, Nirei-chan. Did you need something?”
Akihiko blinks. “Rare? What are you talking about, Kiryu-san? More importantly, where’s Sakura-san?”
Akihiko Nirei wakes up in a world where he never met Haruka Sakura. And a Makochi without Sakura is all kinds of wrong.

“Do you have to be so loud!” Sakura cringed as he saw a few campers on a nearby trail looking their way.
“Let him be excited.” Kaji scolded.
“You ain’t the boss of me!” Sakura hissed back.
Umemiya chuckled softly at their interaction. “Oh, my dear brothers, we will find ways to communicate well with each other by the end of this trip.”

Summary
Sakura’s breathing grew more ragged the longer Nirei stayed unresponsive, his posture slouching with the weight of the punches he’d taken and the reality of what happened. Nirei had rushed over to help him! He tried to pull him away, protect him, keep him from getting into another pointless fight, and now he was passed out on the cold floor, with only Sakura there to wallow in his uselessness.
(Based on a scene from the live action movie NOT the manga)

Summary
Makochi has a problem.
Specifically, it has a runaway problem- in the form of a scrappy child who refuses to let anyone get close to him. No one knows where Sakura came from, or how he got here- he's wary of people and never sticks around for long. Bofurin has its hands full just trying to wrangle the eleven year old. But with time and effort, maybe they can slowly coax their latest stray into trusting them...
(or: 11 year old runaway Sakura Haruka finds his way to Makochi, and slowly learns to trust people again.)
